Fighting Homelessness
Benefits the Community as a Whole.

Los Angeles has the highest homeless population in California.

Over 1/3 of this population have a disabling condition, causing them to experience chronic homelessness.

The Hozho Foundation perceives the need of a transformative approach, pairing sustainability with affordable housing and supportive services to enhance the life of the most vulnerable.

When disabled people are supported, they can participate fully in society, fostering inclusivity.

HOMELESSNESS
BIOPHILIC BUILDING

With the growing concern of finite natural resources and climate change, there is increasing pressure in the construction industry from the government and some private sectors to minimize the environmental impact.

An economy may grow rapidly, but only for so long if most people remain poor and all the natural resources are exhausted.

Sustainable development is overdue everywhere in the world to integrate economic growth, social well-being and environmental protection.

ADA ACCESSIBLE

Musculoskeletal Conditions, Vision and Hearing Impairment, Chronic Pain and Fatigue Disorders, Orthopedic Impairment, Mobility Problems, Ambulatory Difficulties, Body Structure or Function Impairment; as well as persons suffering from physical limitations caused by conditions such as Cancer, Sclerosis, Strokes, Diabetes, etc.

“My disability exists not because I use a wheelchair,

but because the broader environment isn’t accessible.”

— Stella Young, comedian/journalist/activist
