The Philosophy

Hózhó:

Consideration of the nature of the universe, the world, man, the nature of time and space, creation, growth, motion, order, control, and the life cycle…

… expressed in terms quite impossible to translate into English.

Hózhó is a complex belief system and wellness philosophy that guides the thoughts, actions, and speech of the Diné (Navajo) people.

To be “in Hózhó” is to be at one with and a part of the world around you.
It's to live in harmony and beauty.

Designing, constructing and operating buildings and its infrastructure in an environmentally responsible way, by using renewable and non-toxic materials, increasing energy efficiency and minimizing waste, is the symbiotic relationship The Hozho Foundation seeks to have with the environment.
